Web Hosting Frequently Asked Questions:
- Who is allowed to make changes to my web presence/ web hosting services?
Only approved employees can make changes. These must be designated in writing by the person who originally signed the contract. - What happens if I let my services expire?
Yearly customers- we will give you at least 1 month notice when it is time to renew. Payment must be received before the renewal date. If several attempts to contact you have gone unanswered and the services expired, email will be deleted from our servers and your domain will be expired. Because domains must be renewed yearly (unless you purchase more than a year at a time), this also affects your email. We cannot guarantee availability of your domain if you allow it to expire. This means this gives the ability for someone else to purchase it.
Monthly customers- after 10 days past the invoice due date, you can be charged a service charge to your outstanding balance and your services may be temporarily be suspended. In the event your account goes past 30 days, we may refer your account to collections and may delete your domain and associated data. Refer to your service agreement for more information. - How can I make changes to my web presence?
Customers are not able to make changes themselves, because there's programming and designing involved. However, changes can be emailed and as long as they are basic changes and additions, there are no additional costs. If your changes are frequent or too detailed, we will advise you of the additional costs before performing the work. - Can I call you and give you changes or additions over the phone?
I'm sorry but we can only make changes when given them in writing. You can email, fax, or even snail mail your information to us. However, you are welcome to call us and let us know you are sending over the information. - Can you pick up or can I come to your office to give you changes/additions to my web presence?
Unfortunately, at this time we cannot pickup or have you drop off physical media. This helps us keep costs low. If you have only a few items, you can email them to us. If you have a lot of media, you can mail it to us on a CD. - How long before I can expect the changes to be finished (web presence)?
Changes to the web presence can vary depending on the amount of coding involved. Basic changes or additions such as phone/fax/email info and hours can usually be done in 1 - 2 days. More difficult and lengthly changes may take several days. If you have an urgent need or need to know when the work will be finished, please mention that when sending your requests. - How can I add/remove/change email addresses?
At this time, customers cannot log in and make changes. You will need to email us your changes. - How long will it take to add/remove/chance email addresses associated with my account?
Most changes to email can be done within 24 hours, depending on our schedule. We always provide confirmation when changes are complete. Very rarely does this take longer than 24 hours, but sometimes we have prior engagements or emergencies that may change our availability. - What happens if I have you delete email addresses?
If you no longer want an email address (a common reason is when employees leave the company), we can delete the email address. However, we typically recommend changing the password or forwarding the email to another email address for awhile in case you still have customers emailing to that account. - Can I choose my email passwords?
Yes, you can choose your password, but they must be give to us to change or set. We will also make recommendations if your password is not secure. We recommend having at least one numerical character and one capital letter. We also recommend your password be longer than 8 characters. - Can I temporarily take my site down?
If you want your site down temporarily for any reason, such as issues with your business, we can take it down temporarily without losing any data. However, you will need to continue to pay for the web hosting services. - I want pictures added to my site. Do you offer photography help?
Yes, we can edit your photos for you or come onsite, as our schedule permits, to take pictures with our camera for a low service fee.
